It’s been almost two calendar years since there was a girls’ college soccer game in Wisconsin.

A new season kicks off on May 4th, and with it a new number of players across the state worth keeping an eye on.

Here are the 21 best women soccer players in Wisconsin this season:

Tatum Adamson, Sr., Hartland Arrowhead

The midfielder will bring her talent to the state of Ohio next season.

Alexis Betker, sr., Racine Park

Betker is a midfielder and is active in western Illinois. Betker was an all-state sophomore election by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association with 44 goals and 14 assists.

Kate Brown, Jr., Kenosha Bradford

Brown, a striker, was an all-state pick by the WSCA as a freshman, scoring 27 goals and five assists.

Kayla Budish, Jr., Brookfield Central

The striker has made an oral commitment to Purdue. Budish proved her scoring chance as a freshman in 2019, scoring 18 goals in just seven games.

Ally Cruz, Sr., Madison Edgewood

The steadfast man on the backline is committed to Wisconsin. She is a central defender.

Ava Ellegard, Sr., Glendale Nicolet

Ellegard was an All-North Shore first-team selection for her first two years with Nicolet and is a candidate for conference player of the year award this season. The combo striker / defender has yet to make a college choice.

Dana Fish, Sr., Sheboygan North

As a forward / midfielder, Fish scored 20 goals and three assists in his sophomore year. She will compete for Valparaiso next season.

Katelyn Fishnick, Jr., Sauk Prairie

Fishnick intends to stay in the state after making an oral commitment to UW-Green Bay. As a freshman, she was an all-state player, scoring 45 goals in 2019 to beat the state.

Anna Franceschi, sr., Whitefish Bay

Franceschi, a midfielder, will play for Michigan State. She scored 12 goals and nine assists in the second year.

Mia Haertle, Sr., Kettle Moraine

The midfielder was named all-state in her sophomore year and will continue her career at Marquette next season.

Macy Harris, Sr., Franklin

As a midfielder, Harris has pledged to play in northern Illinois. As a sophomore, she scored 30 goals with 11 assists.

Lainey Higgins, Sr., Appleton East

As a combined striker / midfielder, Higgins is committed to UW-Milwaukee. She was all sophomore with 22 goals and nine assists.

Molly Keiper, Sr., Whitefish Bay

Keiper was a second year WSCA team pick. He scored 23 goals and assisted in another 14. Villanova will bring the midfielder upon graduation.

Sofia Miranda, Jr., Holy Angels of the Divine Redeemer

As a striker, Miranda made an oral commitment to play for St. Thomas, Minnesota.

Carina Murphy, Sr., Germantown

The senior midfielder has committed to play for Marquette next season.

Liesel Odden, Sr., Oregon

Odden will bring her midfielders to Syracuse next season.

Fiona Skwierawski, Jr., Shorewood

The defense attorney gave Minnesota an oral pledge.

Maggie Starker, Sr., Whitefish Bay

Stronger was a first-team selection by the WSCA in the second year, scoring 27 goals and 32 assists. The striker will play for Marquette on the next level.

Ava Stelter, Jr., Lake Mills

A striker and all-state tip newbie, Stelter has made an oral commitment to play in Wisconsin. In 2019, she found the back of the net 33 times while assisting on 10 goals.

Hailey Rothwell, Sr., Madison Edgewood

The midfielder was an all-state pick for her sophomore year when she scored 30 goals with 11 assists. Rothwell has pledged to play for Creighton.

Elena Zuchowski Jr., Kettle Moraine

As a midfielder, Zuchowski has made an oral commitment to Minnesota.
