(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 17 – The Italian financial police on Wednesday seized around 1.6 million euros from the bank accounts of Marat Football Management, the company owned by Serie A football player Mario Giuffredi, in connection with an investigation into alleged tax crimes.

The case concerns alleged fraudulent financial statements and the issuance of fake invoices for non-existent operations.

Napoli’s Mario Rui, Elseid Hysaj and Giovanni Di Lorenzo and AS Roma’s Jordan Veretout are among the players Giuffredi will represent.

None of these players are involved in the investigation.
