Prince William issued a statement highlighting the racist comments made on prominent British football players. Use of the Twitter account shared with his wife Kate MiddletonWilliam made a personal statement on the latest hateful comments recently made. He wrote out his testimony in three long tweets.

“Racial abuse – whether on the field, in the stands or on social media – is despicable and must stop now,” read the first tweet. “We all have a responsibility to create an environment in which such abuse will not be tolerated, and those who spread hatred and division will be held accountable for their actions. That responsibility extends to the platforms where so much of this activity is now taking place. I recommend to all those players, supporters, clubs and organizations who continue to strongly encourage and condemn this abuse. W. ”

Many of the better known British football players have received abusive comments for weeks. Player like Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United and England player and his teammates Axel Tuanzebe and Anthony Martialwere also targeted. West Bromwich Albion’s Romaine Sawyers and Chelsea Reece Jameswere also molested.

Greater Manchester Police have said they are investigating player abuse. “Nobody should be exposed to such abuse and it is deeply annoying not only to those who suffer from it but also to anyone who comes across this terrible language. These hateful words have no place in our society online or elsewhere, “police said in a statement.

Prince William is the president of the football association and has campaigned for the fight against racism. He has also used his position within the club to promote better mental health in the UK and around the world.
