Spring sports season is on, and here’s a look at what you should know about some of the best Nashville high school boys in 2021.

Kevin Avalos, Smyrna, Sr .: Avalos was named to the all-state team in 2019 after scoring 18 goals with eight assists.

Cooper Bailey, Brentwood, so: Bailey has already scored two goals this season, including the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Baylor.

Sam Barrionuevo, Grace Christian, Sr .: Barrionuevo, a Trevecca signatory, scored 25 goals and had eight assists in 2019.

Joshua Brake, Columbia Academy, Sr .: Brake is one of eight senior Bulldogs and scored a hat trick in one of the Bulldogs’ first games this season in a 6-1 win over Zion Christian.

Nolan Colliday, page Sr .: Colliday was appointed to the All District 11-AA team in 2019.

Nick Dang, Ravenwood, Sr .: Dang, a lipscomb commit, scored eight goals and was named to the All District teams in 2019.

Marvin Franco, Warren County, Sun .: Franco was the assistant to the pioneers in 2019.

Jorge Graniel, central magnet, Sr .: As a four-year-old starter, Graniel led the Tigers in 2019 with 16 goals and scored two goals in a shortened 2020 season.

Jack Gorman, Page, Jr .: Gorman came this season as the best Patriot of all time with the fewest allowed goals.

Malachi Jones, Grace Christian, Jr .: Jones, a lipscomb commit, scored 26 goals and had eight assists as a freshman in 2019.

Harrison Kraus, Father Ryan, Sr .: Kraus was nominated for this year’s Gatorade Player of the Year and is currently leading the Irish in goals.

Patrick Lee, CPA, Jr .: Lee has been the Lions’ runner-up scorer for the past two seasons.

Cade McLean, Station Camp, Sr .: McLean, a signatory to Belmont, leads a high-level group on the bison.

Caleb Oehlkers, Heir to the White House, Sr .: Oehlkers is a center-back who has scored a goal this season and is considered the Patriots’ best defender.

Naythan Nugent, Northeast, Sr .: Nugent recorded five missed goals for the Eagles in 2019.

Innis Ortiz, Northeast, Jr .: Ortiz is considered the Eagles’ top scorer after 19 goals in 2019.

Jose Perez, Fairview, Jr .: Perez scored five goals and had three assists as a freshman but only played in eleven games due to a broken ankle.

Drew Sledge, Siegel, Sr .: Sledge is the stars’ greatest threat after finishing third in goal in 2019.

Mathew Stevens, Fairview, Sr .: Stevens scored five goals and had an assist in his sophomore year.

Harrison Watts, Clarksville, Sr .: Watts, one of the top scorers in Clarksville, started the season with nearly 90 goals and scored six goals with two assists in the first week.
