The US Virgin Islands Football Association Lady Dashing Eagles has arrived in the Turks and Caicos Islands to attend a friendly international football festival. The women’s national soccer teams of the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas take part in the women’s soccer festival of the Turks and Caicos Islands together with the USVI. The festival runs from July 29th to August 2nd. See schedule below.

The USVISA Lady Dashing Eagles are the team with the highest FIFA rank (155) participating in the festival. USVISA’s technical department has a mission in which the female development program first produces teams that are among the higher-level teams in the CONCACAF region and eventually around the world. The strategic plan aims to have the women’s senior team on FIFA 60th place by 2026. A community women’s soccer league is being developed for the area with the aim of getting more women to play competitive soccer locally and internationally.

USVISA welcomes the commitment its national team athletes and coaches have maintained as they face the challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. All classroom practices and camps were suspended in March 2020 for health and safety reasons.

This is the first competition action of the Lady Dashing Eagles since the Olympic qualification 2020 in Jamaica in October 2019. The women started the festival with a 2-1 victory against the Turks and Caicos Islands.
