Several El Paso High School soccer players have been named all-state and all-region by the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches.

The Del Valle Boys team was well represented in class 5A. Goalkeeper Xavier Monarrez and defender Joel Serrano were recognized as all-state and midfielders Rudy Garcia and Christian Marquez as first-team all-region. The four payers helped Del Valle reach the UIL Class 5A Final Four.

The Eastlake boys were well represented in class 6A. Goalkeeper Kevin Lambert was named an all-state title, defender Alan Arellano an all-state runner-up, striker David Garcia an all-state runner-up, and striker Omar Gio Mora an all-state title. The Falcons reached the regional finals of class 6A.

In the girls’ category, Valerie Anchondo was named the first all-state team by San Elizario as a goalkeeper in class 4A. The Eagles were well represented on the All-Region team with defender Dassany Lopez (first team), midfielder Karina Gallegos (first team) and midfielder Anissa Chairez (first team). San Elizario reached the regional semifinals.

Del Valle was well represented in class 5A. Goalkeeper Adelyne Morales received the All-State Honors. Defender Salma Cerros was named All-Region and Natalia Garcia was named All-Region in midfield. Del Valle won a co-championship in District 2-5A.
