Junior soccer competition is just around the corner and Busselton City FC Junior Technical Coach Steve Farmer invited the players to “be a professional player for the day”.

It was a full day of learning and the players got a glimpse into the life and demands of a young academy player.

This included training players in game analysis, nutrition, injury prevention and recovery, and hands-on ball meetings.

Juan Bautista Propato, Community Participation Officer for the Football West Leeuwin Cape Naturalist Community, is looking forward to the Gala Day for children under 6, which will take place in Capel on May 1st.

Propato has been responsible for developing the region for three years, with an emphasis on developing local coaches, volunteers and increasing the number of players, especially women.

“We have a number of talented players and we want them to play for Soccerroos and Matildas in the near future,” he said.
