Nine Manhattan High soccer players were named to the All Centennial League team this week.

Reagan Geisbrecht, who combined the Indians ‘goal record in a single season with 27 goals in 2021, was named Player of the Year and headed the Indians’ first team. Senior colleague Sam Grynkiewicz formed the first team as a midfielder and Taylor McHugh qualified as a goalkeeper in his sophomore year.

The back line of the Indians was the second team. Defenders Marlee Hodges, Ella Ruliffson and Marleigh Hutchinson were added to the second team alongside midfielder Emery Ruliffson.

Freshman Reese Snowden, named Newcomer of the Year by the Centennial League, has earned a spot on the honorable mention list as a striker. So do defender Chloe Porter and junior midfielder Delayney Lunsway.

The Indians were tied with Washburn Rural by most All-Conference honors (nine) after losing 3-1 to the Junior Blues in the third place match in Class 6A. Manhattan finished the season 15-5.
