Newark started scoring 20 minutes into the first half. Seven minutes later, Sierra Harrison hit on an assist from Hayley Andersen, and only four minutes later she hit again on an assist from Brady Logan.
Penn Yan held the lead until the 20-minute mark in the second half when Newark’s Natalie Bates scored. Newark Camryn Pettit scored the winning goal after 4 minutes in OT.
Elle Harrison was ripped off by 19 shots on goal and she saved 16, while Penn Yan’s only shots on Newark’s goal were the two that counted.

The Marcus Whitman girls took the lead into the last minute of regulation and had to settle for a 3-3 home draw with Harley-Allendale Columbia on October 1st.
Bella Cavallaro gave the Wolves an early lead with her goal in the second minute with a direct kick from about 30 meters away. Whitman responded with consecutive goals from Nichaela Commisso on the 14th and 16th minutes, the first from an assistant from Zoelle Payne and the second from a direct kick.
H-AC sent the game 2-2 into halftime when Fiona O’Brien scored in the 24th minute.
Commisso’s third goal of the game gave Whitman a 3-2 lead in the 36th minute, but H-AC equalized in the 39th minute when O’Brien scored again.
Makayla Selvek made nine saves for Whitman (6-5-1).

Senior Dylan Howell hurried 17 runs for 216 yards and caught a pass for 44 yards for 260 yards of total insult to Whitman in Senior Night on October 5th. Howell also ran for four touchdowns, caught a TD pass, and scored a 2-point conversion.
Sophomore Austin Smith rushed for 155 yards and three TDs and also scored on a 2-point conversion, and junior quarterback Seth Benedict ran for eight yards, passed for 73 and a TD, and threw a 2-point conversion pass.
Whitman stacked a total of 480 yards, 407 on the floor, and held Holley at 195 yards of total insult. That only included 26 rushing yards in the first half.

Dylan Howell raced 12 times for 305 yards and five touchdowns, Austin Smith rushed for 133 yards and two TDs on 12 runs, and Austin Webster had a TD catch of 37 yards.
