This is a press release from Brescia Athletics.
The men’s soccer team of the University of Brescia was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as the winner of the Team Academic Award for their outstanding academic performance in the 2019-20 academic year. The award is the first year the Bearcats have received the team’s academic award.
The Bearcats were one of 341 men’s college football teams to receive the Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 academic year as the team achieved a grade point average of 3.0.
“We are delighted with the recognition our young men have received for their classroom efforts,” said coach Cameron Williams.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic successes of college soccer teams, whose athletes work together for outstanding achievements in their studies for an entire school year. The award is given to programs with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
