BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Merritt Island High School Boys’ varsity soccer team leads all of Brevard County’s six-player schools elected to the prestigious All Cape Coast Conference 2021 soccer team.

Senior Kameron Jorgenson, who scored seventeen goals and eleven assists, resulted in Brevard County getting the most overall votes for the boy’s nominees.

Jorgenson is joined by senior Bret Geyer and four juniors, Grant Paparella, Josh Fox, Seamus Feeney and Will Zabin.

On the girls’ side, Senior Captains Jessica Martin and Karys Verpaele were named to the All Cape Coast Conference along with junior teammate Kyleigh Trout.

Trout scored the most statistical points for the varsity girls’ team with nine goals and sixteen assists.

Boys Varsity Head Coach Scooty Carey said: “I am very proud of our teams for this achievement. So that Merritt Island would have as many players called All Cape Coast Conference to speak volumes about how our boys and girls programs came together for each other this year. “

“It’s one of the greatest compliments a player can get when an opposing coach selects them for this prestigious all-county group.”

The Mustangs boys and girls teams have also been awarded the FHSAA’s 4A Academic Team Champions.
